The Itinerary

Pandas
Early morning at Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base (best to arrive at 8am when pandas are most active). Afternoon: traditional teahouse in People's Park. Optional evening foot massage.

Cooking & Culture
Morning Sichuan cooking class with master chef — learn 4 classic dishes. Afternoon at Wenshu Monastery and the surrounding old quarter.

Leshan Giant Buddha
Day trip to Leshan (~1.5 hrs each way). Boat ride to view the 71-meter UNESCO Giant Buddha from the river. Return to Chengdu.

Mt. Emei
Drive to Mt. Emei (~2.5 hrs). Cable car up to mid-mountain. Hike to several Buddhist monasteries. Stay overnight near the summit.

Mt. Emei Sunrise
Pre-dawn hike or cable car to the Golden Summit for sunrise. Descend in the afternoon. Return to Chengdu.

Departure
Free morning. Airport transfer.
