Craft Story
Yixing zisha teapots have been made since the Northern Song Dynasty. The unique clay (purple, red, and yellow varieties) is found only in Yixing's Huanglongshan and surrounding hills. The unglazed surface absorbs minute amounts of tea oils, eventually brewing tea even with plain water.
About the Artisan
Made by an experienced Yixing potter (not a factory). Workshop seal stamped on bottom and inside lid.
